Surfing
Surfing — given the country’s lengthy coastline, which faces the Pacific Ocean, it’s expected that surfing is a major recreational activity. Archeological artifacts suggest that the sport actually goes back hundreds, if not thousands of years in Peru. The country’s central coast has great surfing opportunities from April to September, while the north coast (towards Ecuador) become a surfer’s paradise from October to March. The country’s best reputed surfing spots are: Cabo Blanco, Lobitos. Chicama, Huanchaco, Pacasmatyo, and Los Organos. Even Lima’s beaches are not a bad place to start.
